The Africa Center for Strategic Studies is seeking to hire an Assistant Research Fellow responsible for:
Supporting the development of content and editing of the Center’s Africa Security Briefs, Research Papers, and Special Reports series.
Monitoring the Africa security policy literature across topics of strategic interest to the DOD, USG, and African policymakers.
Coordinating the proofing, layout, and formatting process with an external graphics designer and external printing firms.
Conducting and publishing policy relevant research on security challenges relevant to Africa and U.S. policy.
Overseeing the implementation of certain Africa Center research projects, including managing the contributions of research interns on a day-to-day basis.
Organizing and helping to host periodic roundtables, workshops, and seminars relevant to U.S. security priorities in Africa.
Candidates must be a U.S. citizen or eligible to work in the United States. This position closes on Tuesday, January 10, 2017.
